"smart" traffic sign designed to help drivers make correct decisions
and avoid collisions at traffic intersections

at junctions that then activate flashing lights on “give way” signs to alert
drivers.  The need for these signs, given by the designer, is that cars
from secondary roads sometimes fail to stop when joining main roads, resulting
in collisions.

flashing lights on “give way” signs to alert drivers. The concept was
motivated by the occasional failure of car drivers on secondary roads to stop
when joining main roads, resulting in collisions. 

Once again, technology is proposed as a method of control, when a
roundabout or change of road layout could be a cheaper and
simpler solution.
